Dr. Dana will start the care of your child once they are born. Dr. Dana would like to see your baby 3-5 days after you are discharged from the hospital or within 24 hours for a home delivery.

If you are having your child at another hospital or at home, she would like to see your baby in the first 3-5 days after they are born. It is best to call during your hospital stay so your appointment is made before you even go home.

Breastfeeding babies Dr. Dana would like to see closer to three days to make sure your milk is in and the baby is transitioning well. Formula fed babies, closer to five days to make sure they are tolerating the formula and gaining weight.
