About Us
Since entering medical practice as a neurologist in 2007, Dr. Howe has learned much about the art of doctoring through personal experience and the guidance of her patients. The practice of medicine and the pursuit of wellness is rarely black and white, but she has found that no medical treatment is successful or sustained without treating the whole person.
The Health Mission
We as humans are knit together in a wonderfully complex way (Psalm 139) in which our body, mind and spirit all function together and influence each other. This is why we will fail if our pursuit of health is limited only to the physical. Modern medicine and medical technologies have advanced in tremendous ways over the course of Dr. Howe’s career, offering treatment options for most conditions that can have an incredible impact on physical health. However, our mind and our spirit also need nourishment in order for us to become all that we are designed to be.
Your Body and Brain
Your physical health, diet, and exercise all have a significant impact on brain health and brain function. The best treatment plan that we can develop together is based on identifying all of the root problems in health that may be contributing to your neurological issue.
Your Mind and Spirit
We live in a society today in which there is an epidemic of loneliness, depression and anxiety. Dr. Howe believes that this is often due to lack of deep relationships, lack of social support and lack of a firm spiritual foundation. Your mental and spiritual wellbeing inevitably impact your physical health.
At Lone Star Neurology we will support you in your journey to brain, body and spiritual wellness.
