Biography

Janis Wilbert, B.A., CLC, IBCLC, heads our lactation team and is a Board Certified Lactation Consultant with Forest Lane Pediatrics. Janis received her Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Biology and minors in Education and Psychology in 2002 from the University of Texas at Dallas. She received her Lactation Counselor Certification from The Center for Healthy Children in 2011.

Janis has a very supportive and educational approach to teaching women how to breastfeed. She has more than likely been where you are, and can help you get through it! She wants to help you and your family have the best experience possible while helping you achieve YOUR goals for YOUR family. Janis is passionate about helping families in any way she can, and she believes that early intervention can help to minimize most breastfeeding problems, and the right support, patience, and guidance can help both mom and baby flourish and meet their goals.

Janis lives in Dallas with her husband Peter, and she has two beautiful daughters, Allison “Allie” and Emma, who are the loves of her life! Janis breastfed both of her children and credits her success to having a wonderful lactation consultant who helped her through her own breastfeeding journey!
