Agata Williams

Inspire Integrative Medicine offers a full range of nutrition education services. As part of our integrative health model, we are proud to provide this specialty care to complement your comprehensive primary care, incorporating nutritional goals such as weight management, digestive health, and chronic disease support. Our nutrition services are offered by Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Agata Williams RDN, LD, who is available to see patients both through in-person consultations and telemedicine sessions. We also provide group medical visits, which deliver extra education and support to enhance our personalized care.

Agata Williams RDN, LD has committed over 10 years of her professional career to outpatient counseling and community dietetics. She has a strong belief that we have a close relationship with food and that guides her practice. She uses food to empower her clients to take their lives into their own hands, and she encourages them to make changes towards greater health and well-being.

Personalized Nutrition Programming

Start on your path to healthier living with Inspire IM’s Personalized Nutrition Programming. Led by Nutritionist Agata Williams RDN, LD our one-on-one programming will ensure individualized care and support specific to your health needs and goals. This program is geared for patients who are struggling with being overweight or obese. You’ll start with a personalized lifestyle evaluation and continue with individual visits with Agata to work toward your personal weight loss goals.

Program Details:

  • Start with an IN-PERSON session with Agata Williams while will include a comprehensive intake and a 50 question lifestyle patterns assessment
  • The test will identify your eating, exercise and coping/lifestyle patterns that most likely contribute(d) to your weight gain and make weight loss more difficult.
  • The follow-up sessions will focus on discussing and redirecting identified patterns, one-by-one to help you lose weight.
  • Follow-up sessions may be virtual or in-person.
  • It is STRONGLY ENCOURAGED and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you also sign up for and attend our Inspire to Nourish & Thrive program. Information provided during these online sessions will be indispensable for you to know. If you give yourself the opportunity to attend these sessions, your individual meetings with the dietitian can be devoted to your health and care instead of educational sessions.

Whether you’re looking to lose weight, improve your eating habits, or simply feel your best, Nourish & Thrive is here to guide you every step of the way. This is more than a weight loss program—it's a transformative journey designed to Inspire positive changes that last. 

In this program, you’ll embark on a journey to understand the history of nutrition and how it shapes our modern eating habits. Explore what truly makes foods processed, from natural to ultra-processed options, and learn how industrialization has impacted our health over time. 

You’ll gain the essential skills to read food labels, decode ingredient lists, and navigate the grocery store with confidence. Learn to break down food labels and decode food jargon, giving you the knowledge to make informed choices and improve your relationship with food. You’ll take away the tools you need to choose foods that align with your health goals and avoid the confusion surrounding today’s food options.

Program Details:

  • Class Time: Every other Tuesday, 12:00-1:00 PM (1-hour virtual session)
  • Where: Online – Join from the comfort of your home
  • Led By: Agata Williams, RD and Mollie Sourwine, MD
  • Cost: Visits are billed as a general virtual visit. Please review your plan details regarding copay, co-insurance and deductible prior to joining as they may apply.

Session 1

THE WORLD WE LIVE IN

  • Understanding Obesogenic (causing, promoting obesity) environment that we live in
  • Understanding food pressures, time pressures and technological advances all of which impact how we eat
  • Understanding how to make change, how to set oneself up to make changes successfully: tools and ideas to put into your tool box provided
  • Exercise related to meta-awareness and inner dialogue (crayons, colored pencils or markers needed)
Session 2

IT'S SO CONFUSING!!! WHY NUTRITION IS SUCH A MESS AND HOW THE HECK DID WE END UP HERE 

  • History of Nutrition (from 1700s to the Great Depression)
  • Overview of how last 300+ years impacted how we eat today
  • Key Point: Nutrition vs Nutrition
  • Overview of how food industry took over our cooking
  • Closer look at food companies: links, ownerships, profits, advertising
Session 3

DEFINING FOODS: NATURAL FOODS, UPF'S, EDIBLE FOOD-LIKE SUBSTANCES (yes! It is a thing!) AND EVERYTHING IN-BETWEEN 

  • Deep dive into food
  • Practical approach to food: past and present
  • Food as a business
  • Food related language
  • Food Processing Spectrum and relevant definitions
  • Do's and DON'Ts of "Food Rules"
Session 4

DECODING THE GROCERY STORE

  • Understanding a grocery store before you enter it
  • Understanding a grocery store once you enter it
  • Understanding a layout of a grocery store
  • Key Point: Serving Size vs Portion
  • Initial and Brief introduction of Food Label and Ingredients List
  • Food jargon: 100% Organic, Organic, All Natural, Non-GMO etc
Session 5

BRING YOUR CALCULATORS! UNDERSTANDING AND READING FOOD LABELS AND INGREDIENT LISTS

  • Deep dive into reading Food Labels and Ingredient lists. Complexity increases thru the session
  • Sugar-free and fat-free relations
  • Trans Fats
  • Spotlight on sugar
Session 6

SO HOW DO I EAT HEALTHY

Wrapping it all together: 

  • Revisiting obesogenic environment
  • Discovering relationship with food
  • Setting up your home for food-success
  • Setting up yourself for success in a grocery store: tips, shopping list, cart organization
  • Additional tips re: reading Food Labels and Ingredient Lists
Session 7

IT'S NOT ONLY FOOD! OTHER ELEMENTS SUPPORTING WELL BEING

  • Sleep - and improving sleep tips
  • Movement - and introducing it in a creative way into your life
  • Stress Reduction - importance of stress reduction and tips to do so
  • Hydration - tips to drink more fluids
Session 8, Session 9 and Session 10

Remaining 3 sessions of the cycle will cover:

  • Planning and strategizing: how to develop self-care plan
  • Closer look at modalities that will help you set yourself for success when it comes to wellness: meditation, relaxation, awareness, breathing exercises, stress reduction tips. Specific exercises that you will be able to use will be introduced.
  • Final wrap up of the session.
