Dear Patients and Friends,

Spring is in the air! For most of us it’s been a long, cold winter and I for one am very excited for longer days and increasing temperatures. I always look forward to starting our garden with my children, farmer’s markets with early spring produce, and of course getting outside for fresh air for a walk with my dog Timber.

In March, we are reminded to pay special attention to our nutrition during National Nutrition Month®. We are invited to learn more about making informed food choices and developing healthy eating and physical activity habits. It’s also the perfect time to jump in and join our Nourish & Thrive virtual education series. See the article below for all of the details. You won’t want to miss it!

We are also excited to introduce Functional Medicine as a part of our nutrition services. Working along side Agata Williams, Brie Suppa is now providing Functional Medicine assessments which are designed to complement your primary care services, providing you with an in-depth understanding of your unique health needs.

Let’s not forget the importance of paying attention to our colorectal health in March. Early-age onset colorectal cancer can often go undiagnosed in the younger population. By knowing the risk factors, signs and symptoms, you may be able to catch it at its earliest stage. Please be sure to stay on top of your exams, particularly if you have a family history.

I hope you will take time this month to pay special attention to your nutrition. Even small changes can make a big impact. As always we are here to support you every step of the way!

In Good Health,

Mollie Sourwine, MD
