Biography

Susan Watkins grew up in Plano, TX. She graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington in 1988 with her Bachelor's degree, and in 2003 with her Master’s degree. Susan is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and Family Nurse Practitioner. She is  also a Certified Diabetes Educator.

Susan has been caring for patients with endocrine disorders for 14 years. She will join DDEC in November of 2020, working collaboratively with Dr.Banarer to provide ongoing management for a variety of endocrine disorders. We are excited for someone with her knowledge and experience to join the DDEC team!

Susan has been married to her husband Ron, a Dallas Fire Fighter, since 1993 and has two children. When she is not working she enjoys snow skiing, biking, hiking, going to the lake and all water sports.
