Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate (MBAC) Injection
Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate (BMAC) along with Microfragmented Adipose Tissue (MFAT) are among the most advanced FDA compliant regenerative technologies available in the United States. These involve non-surgical ultrasound guided injections. Bone marrow contains many cells that are helpful in the healing process, including mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs). These cells may help direct healing of degenerated tissue. Bone marrow may be obtained from the iliac crest of the pelvis under local anesthesia. Within the same visit the BMAC is taken, processed, and injected. Bone marrow may be ideal for patients who do not have much fat tissue, and thus would not be a good candidate for microfragmented adipose tissue (MFAT).
