Flu Shots: We say BOO to the FLU!

Yearly flu shots are an important part of keeping your child and our community healthy. Every year in the fall we have FLU SHOT drive-thru events. It is just a quick drive through our parking lot. They are scheduled on Saturday mornings so you don’t have to take off work or school. There is no need to get out of the car. Make it a fun family activity to do together. Go home with a commemorative photo. End the loop with bubbles, stickers and cookies. We make getting flu shots easy during business hours. Just call to schedule an appointment. Or your child can get their shot at any appointment that is already scheduled – sick or well. We also vaccinate parents! Every year is a new flu-shot formulation. Remember the goal: FLU VACCINE BEFORE HALLOWEEN!

Other Routine Vaccines

Keeping up with your child’s routine vaccines are so important. In fact, at Doc PAM, we require it. (See our vaccine policy). However, we know shots can be stressful and we do everything we can to make it a better experience.

• In 2-month-olds we know that a bit of sucrose before the shots can mitigate some of the pain. So we give Sweetease before their shots.
• All patients have “FREEZY SPRAY” as an option. This is orthopedic grade cold spray that helps dull the poke. Definitely a fan favorite!
• We also have a Virtual Reality headset that gives kids prompts for relaxing or an underwater adventure to talk them through the vaccine process. See video links below for our “Smiley Scope” technology.
