When children are young, illnesses and injuries are common. In most cases, these issues are minor, but treatment is still recommended. Parents can make an appointment for their children by contacting Dangond Pediatrics in Miami, Florida.
Pediatric care is a branch of medicine that deals with the care of newborns, infants, children, and adolescents. The purpose of pediatric care is to monitor the child’s growth and development, screen for health problems, and deal with any illnesses or injuries.
Our doctors can diagnose and treat most issues that affect children, including:
Our doctors also provide well-child exams to make sure that children are growing and developing properly.
Parents should make an appointment with our doctors at least once a year for children over the age of 2 to assess growth and development. Children younger than age 2 need to see our doctors more frequently. Routine appointments should be scheduled as follows: a week, a month, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, 15 months and 18 months. Parents should also make an appointment any time they have a concern about their child’s health. For example, if the child is experiencing the symptoms of an acute or chronic condition, making an appointment is recommended.
Dangond Pediatrics keeps a few appointments open to deal with urgent issues like infections or illness. Walk-ins are welcomed for any child that is ill. For routine visits, the appointment will be scheduled as soon as possible usually within a week.
During a well-child visit, staff members collect basic information about the child, including height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, and heart rate. They may also ask basic questions about the child’s habits, behavior, and development. Our doctors review this information and examine the patient to make sure they’re in good health. In addition, he may also administer necessary vaccinations. If our doctors discover any problems, or if the parent has concerns about the child’s development, we may order additional tests.
