We’re always available for our current patients and are happy to welcome new patients to our clinics, even without an appointment.

How To Know When It’s Time To Use our Walk-in Service, And Why

Deciding whether or not to go to a doctor’s office for an urgent need is a decision that leaves many of our patients feeling anxious and unsure. In some cases, they may think that they need emergency care when a trip to our clinic would work just as well, or even better. In others, they may not think that their condition is severe enough to merit a visit to the doctor’s office. While you can always call our office for help knowing if it’s time for an Urgent Care visit, consider the following points.

  • Is It A Minor Medical Concern: If your condition isn’t life-threatening but requires care as soon as possible, it’s time for a trip to our urgent care. Life-threatening conditions always merit an immediate trip to the ER.
  • Do you have flu-like symptoms that aren’t going away?: This is definitely a call for a trip into the urgent care, but give our offices a call before you arrive to learn about our COVID-19 policy.
  • Chest Pain: If you have no history of heart disease, are under 55, or suspect heart-burn or muscle strain, a trip to urgent care is often suitable. If you think you’re having a heart-attack, call 911.
  • You Suspect a minor bone fracture: Minor bone fractures typically don’t necessitate a trip to the ER, simply get into our offices as soon as possible. Suspected leg, arm, hip, or back fractures should go to the ER immediately.

If these points don’t clear things up for you, then give our on-staff consultant a call. They’ll hear your concerns and help you decide what your next steps should be.
