Proudly Part of Privia Health
There are two general ways to test for obstructive sleep apnea - patients can visit a sleep center in a hospital or stand-alone facility for an overnight technician monitored test, or they can take a test at home in their own bed. Most insurance plans require that you have had a home sleep study before authorizing a sleep center administered test. The cost of a home sleep study is considerably less. Testing can typically be completed with one night of study. A board certified sleep medicine physician will read your study and report your results and recommendations to your Albany Internal Medicine physician.
