Biography

At an early age, Amber Tomlinson knew she wanted to work in the field of healthcare and decided to pursue this aspiration by becoming a nurse through Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia. She graduated in 2003 with her baccalaureate in nursing and remained in Columbus working in labor and delivery and then orthopedic surgery. After moving “home” in 2005 and getting married, she continued to work as a nurse for another 11 years before receiving her advanced degree, and graduating with highest honors, as a Family Nurse Practitioner through South University. “I was fortunate to have completed many of my practicum hours here at Albany Internal Medicine and was able to witness firsthand what a wonderful medical facility it is. I am honored to become a part of such a caring establishment focused on patient care."

Amber grew up in Leesburg, Georgia and is excited to be able to give back to her community. She is married to Neal Tomlinson and they have two boys.
