A sick visit refers to any visit to the doctor that’s intended to treat an illness or condition from which you’re currently suffering. During a sick visit, Dr. Medimpudi properly assesses your symptoms, effectively diagnosing your condition, and devising a treatment strategy to get you feeling better again.
You should come in for a sick visit whenever you’re feeling sick and want to get healthy again. Some of the common symptoms that bring patients in for sick visits include:
Fever
You should see Dr. Medimpudi if you have a fever that:
Congestion
Book an appointment with Dr. Medimpudi if your congestion lasts for more than 10 days or if you’re experiencing any of the following symptoms with your congestion:
Cough
If your cough is painful or if your chest feels tight when you breathe, you should be evaluated by Dr. Medimpudi. Some other signs that your cough might necessitate a sick visit include:
Sore throat
A sore throat that’s preventing you from swallowing, eating, or drinking is an excellent reason to book a sick visit.

When you come in for a sick visit, Dr. Medimpudi first evaluates your symptoms. She spends time talking with you about how you’ve been feeling and what exactly has brought you in to her office.
To get a better idea of what might be causing your problems, she might perform a number of in-office diagnostics, such as measuring your vital signs or examining your throat and ears.
Once she determines what’s causing your symptoms, she’ll work with you to devise a treatment plan and alleviate your symptoms while helping your body heal from the underlying issue.
