When to go to ER

Below are the times when you should immediately go to the ER.

  • Epileptic seizures Call 911. Do not try to drive him/her to the hospital in your own car.
  • A head injury that causes unconsciousness (injuries not causing unconsciousness can be discussed by phone if necessary)
  • Cuts that require suturing at night or on weekends
  • Suspected fractures
  • Severe abdominal pain
  • Severe breathing difficulty
