Prescription Refill Instructions
It is your responsibility to notify your pharmacy in a timely manner when refills are necessary. Approval of your refill may take up to three business days so please be courteous and call our office 48 – 72 hours in advance.
At your office visit, your provider will give you enough refills until you are due for a follow up office visit. Most prescriptions require a follow up appointment every three to six months. It is important to schedule that appointment in a timely manner to insure your medication continues without interruption.
If you have any questions regarding medications please discuss these during your appointment. If for any reason you feel your medication needs to be adjusted or changed please contact us immediately. New symptoms or events require an appointment. Your provider will not diagnose or treat over the phone.
Medication refills will only be addressed during regular office hours Monday through Thursday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Friday 8:00 am - 2:00 pm. No prescriptions will be refilled on Saturday, Sunday or holidays.
Some medications require prior authorization from your insurance company. Depending on your insurance, this process many involve several steps by both your pharmacy and your provider. Neither the pharmacy nor the provider can guarantee that your insurance company will approve the medication.
If your provider prescribes medication at your appointment it may be sent to your pharmacy electronically. Please allow two hours for the prescription to be filled.
