Biography

Dr. Snehal T. Patel is Board Certified in Pediatric Hospital Medicine and General Pediatrics. He received his medical degree from New Jersey Medical School and completed his internship and residency training at Duke Children’s Hospital and Health Center. Dr. Patel has broad experience in caring for infants, children, and adolescents, in both inpatient and outpatient settings, at community hospitals, military treatment facilities, and academic medical centers. He also has a Master’s in Health Finance and Management degree from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and, for several years, advised commercial life sciences and federal government clients as a healthcare consultant. In addition to patient care, Dr. Patel currently supports a range of medical student and resident education, training, and quality improvement activities. He has a deep interest in education and advocacy efforts related to Environmental Justice and Climate Change and Health and serves as a member of the Steering Committee for Chesapeake Physicians for Social Responsibility.
