Personal Interests

Dr. Cooper enjoys a very active life outside of his practice. He has been rooted in Thomasville, GA, for almost 20 years. He is active on hospital committees, and active in his church. He enjoys water sports and spending time with his 3 daughters and wife of 20 years.

Biography

Dr. William Cooper specializes in internal medicine as well as primary and preventive care. Special areas of interest include management of chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and hypertension. Dr. Cooper graduated in 1995 from the University of South Alabama Medical School. He then subsequently did a residency at the same institution for internal medicine. He has been with the McIntosh Clinic for the last 18 years, immediately starting with the clinic out of residency.

Dr. Cooper is also on faculty at Florida State University Medical School, where he serves as Assistant Clinical Professor. He enjoys teaching third-year medical students the disciplines of internal medicine. Dr. Cooper has also taken an active role in his community and enjoys serving on medical missions and underserved countries. Dr. Cooper has enjoyed long-term relationships with his patients, specifically helping to manage longitudinally complex health issues with them.
