Biography

Seretha Ransom is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Seretha Ransom did her undergraduate studies at The University of Notre Dame and earned her doctorate in medicine at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Dr. Ransom did her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Greenville Health System in Greenville, SC. As a physician, her goal is to provide patient-centered care. Starting at the first visit Dr. Ransom makes an effort to understand what her patient’s needs are and works with the patient to create a plan of care that fits these needs. She wants to empower her patients to be an active participant in their care by listening and educating them at each visit about all available treatment options. For Dr. Ransom the best part of being an OBGYN is being able to support women through all stages of life from adolescence, through childbearing, and menopause. She is trained in minimally invasive surgery and laparoscopic surgical techniques. 

Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Seretha Ransom enjoys spending time with her family, learning new dance styles and volunteering in the community.
