Amy Martin has been working as a Physician Assistant in Central Virginia for 17 years. She has a background that includes Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Interventional Radiology, Gyn/Onc Surgery and Acute Medicine. She is an avid runner, hiker, and community soccer coach. She is married and has four kids and many animals.
Biography
As an undergraduate student at the University of Virginia, I fell in love with the Charlottesville community. After graduation, I spent time volunteering in hospitals in Costa Rica and this affirmed my desire to serve others in a medical capacity. I have worked in a variety of medical specialties, yet my heart keeps bringing me back to Family Medicine. I enjoy working with all ages. I truly believe that the future of medicine is preventive healthcare. It is my desire to serve others in all walks of their life, from well visits to sick and chronic ones.
