Biography
Ana G. Torres, MS, LMHC has served as a bilingual/bicultural Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) for eight years in the Walla Walla valley. She earned her Master of Science Degree in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University in 2017, and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Spanish Literature from Whitman College in 2012. Ana’s approach to treatment is strengths-based, client-centered, and trauma informed, striving to create a therapeutic space in which to work collaboratively with clients to meet their individual needs and goals. She utilizes treatment perspectives based on and tailored to each individual client’s needs; her tool kit includes an eclectic mix of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). She has experience working with clients to address depression, anxiety, perinatal/postpartum mental health, self-esteem, parenting support, trauma/PTSD, and grief/loss.
