Biography

Triwanna Fisher-Wikoff, MD has been helping people through medicine for nearly a decade and is currently a staff physician for the JPS Health Network in their family medicine department. She received her medical degree from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in 2005 and completed her residency in 2008 at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.

During her residency and undergraduate years, Dr. Fisher found her calling providing care to underprivileged and underserved communities. She traveled to Zambia Africa and Juarez, Mexico on medical mission trips, feeding her humanitarian spirit. In 2005, her JPS colleagues commended her efforts, awarding her with The Erickson Award for Exemplifying Compassion and Humanitarian Efforts in Medicine.

Dr. Fisher said she was drawn to family medicine as a specialty because she can treat patients of all ages and who have a wide array of issues, although she particularly enjoys helping patients with weight management issues because of the tremendous impact controlling one's weight can have on a variety of health issues.
