Biography

Texas Health Care welcomes Mauricio A. Ruiz-Baron, MD, an internal medicine physician practicing as a hospitalist, to its team. He joins Texas Health Care from a residency in internal medicine at St. John's Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway, NY. Dr. Ruiz-Baron also worked at the Hospital Maria Immaculada in Rio Blanco Tolima in inpatient medicine services, pediatrics, and the emergency room. Dr. Ruiz-Baron received his medical degree from Escuela de Medicina Juan N. Corpas in Bogota, Colombia, where he was born. He is a member of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Ruiz-Baron is also bilingual and enjoys soccer, music and spending time with his wife and two children. Dr. Ruiz currently has privileges at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth and Baylor All Saints Medical Center.
