Biography

John L. Fewins, MD, specializes in Otolaryngology on the Texas Health Care physician team. He practices in Fort Worth as well as a satellite office located in Keller. Dr. John Fewins grew up in rural Pennsylvania and received his bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. After graduating with his medical degree from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine, Dr. Fewins moved to Texas to complete his residency in Otolaryngology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Enjoying his time in the Lone Star State, Dr. Fewins decided to call Texas his home and moved to Fort Worth in 2003 to start his private ENT practice. Dr. Fewins is board-certified in Otolaryngology and is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, Texas Academy of Otolaryngology, Tarrant County Medical Society, Texas Medical Association, as well as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Fewins has been recognized among the Who's Who in Executive and Professionals and in the Fort Worth Magazine - Top Docs in Otolaryngology in 2005, 2009, and 2010. His professional interests encompass all aspects of pediatric and adult otolaryngology. Dr. Fewins particularly appreciates working with disorders of the voice, swallowing conditions, head and neck cancer, diseases of the nose and sinuses as well as snoring and obstructive sleep apnea. He takes pride in keeping pace with technological and informational progress in Otolaryngology for the benefit of his patients and his referring providers. Dr. Fewins says, "the decisions I make for my patients are based on what I would do if the patient was a member of my own family". Outside of his practice, Dr. Fewins enjoys spending time with his wife, Ginger, and their two children.
