Biography
Brian Tobias, DO, is a hand surgeon with a physician partnership at Texas Health Care. Dr. Tobias is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and fellowship trained in Hand & Reconstructive Microsurgery. Dr. Tobias received his undergraduate degree in biology from Indiana University. He earned his medical degree from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, in Kirksville, Missouri. He completed an internship at Metropolitan Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan and his orthopedic surgery residency at Mt. Clemens General Hospital, in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Tobias completed his fellowship in Hand & Reconstructive Microsurgery at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, Florida. In addition, Dr. Tobias holds a Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Hand & Reconstructive Microsurgery. Dr. Tobias has 14 years of combined private and academic practice experience, most recently as a member of the Fort Worth Affiliated Hospital Orthopedic Residency Program and as an assistant professor in Orthopedics at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. In 2005, Dr. Tobias was a visiting scholar in reconstructive microsurgery at The Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taipei, Taiwan. Dr. Tobias professional memberships include the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics. Dr. Tobias is currently accepting new patients.
