Biography

Dr. Danielle Burkett is a board certified obstetrician and gynecologist providing comprehensive women’s health care in Fort Worth, Texas. She is dedicated to compassionate whole-patient care for women of all ages, specializing in up-to-date treatments for all aspects of a woman’s reproductive health. Dr. Burkett provides prenatal care for both normal and high-risk pregnancies, collaborating with specialists when necessary to assure the best outcomes for mothers and their babies. She offers a wide range of birth control options, including Mirena® Intrauterine System, ParaGard® Intrauterine Device, Nexplanon® contraceptive implant, and Essure® in-office sterilization, for a tailored approach to each patient’s family planning needs.

With experience in vaginal, laparoscopic and robotic surgery, Dr. Burkett also has the surgical expertise to treat a variety of gynecologic conditions. From the annual well-woman exam and sexually transmitted disease (STD) screening to the more complex management of abnormal pap smears, problem periods, pelvic pain, or menopause, Dr. Burkett closely partners with each patient to meet her individual health-care needs.

Dr. Danielle Burkett graduated cum laude from Rice University with a bachelor of arts in Psychology, and then went on to receive her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from The Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth. Dr. Burkett completed her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, IL, where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Burkett has published research on postpartum pain management, postpartum bowel function, and trends in hysterectomy training for resident physicians.

She enjoys mentoring aspiring doctors and other health-care professionals and works to remain on the forefront of medicine through continuing medical education. Dr. Burkett is a member of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Medical Association, the American Osteopathic Association and the Texas Osteopathic Medical Association. She was recognized in 2013 as a “Mom-Approved Doc” by Fort Worth Child Magazine. In addition to being a physician, Dr. Burkett is also a dedicated wife and mother. She enjoys spending her free time with her husband and two young children.

Dr. Danielle Burkett joined the obstetrics and gynecology team at Texas Health Care in 2011. Dr. Burkett is proudly affiliated with the state-of-the-art Andrew’s Women’s Hospital at Baylor All Saints Medical Center at Fort Worth, where her patients receive compassionate and quality care in a beautiful and modern setting. Dr. Burkett is accepting patients at two convenient office locations in Fort Worth. Patients may choose to see Dr. Burkett at her downtown office in the Baylor All Saints Professional Pavilion in Fort Worth’s Near Southside (in the Hospital District) or at her South Hulen location in Southwest Fort Worth. Appointments are available with Dr. Burkett by contacting either the downtown or Southwest Fort Worth office.
