Biography
Beginnings
Dr. Pastore is an interventional cardiologist who specializes in opening blocked arteries as well as cardiovascular disease. The son of a cardiologist and grandson of a United States Senator, Dr. Pastore has carried on the tradition of servicing his community. He started medicine as a cardiovascular research staff at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center under his mentor, Dr. Jeffrey M. Isner, who inspired his interest and passion for cardiology Dr. Pastore completed specialty fellowships in both coronary and peripheral vascular interventions and is trained in the use of transradial cardiac catheterization.
Professional Journey
Dr. Pastore sits on the Medical Executive Committee of St. Joseph’s Hospital-North, and since the hospital opened, has served as the Medical Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. Dr. Pastore is a former faculty member of Tufts and Harvard Medical Schools. He has received awards for research in gene and stem cell therapy, nuclear cardiology, the biology of aging, and for preventive cardiology and humanism in medicine.
