San Marcos Family Medicine is receiving extremely limited supplies of COVID 19 vaccine and are working to schedule patients on our registration list according to availability. If you have registered but have already received your vaccination elsewhere, please simply reply ‘decline’ if you receive a text to schedule and our automated system will remove you from the list and move to the next individual. If you have ALREADY scheduled for your vaccine and need to decline for any reason, please notify our office staff and they will remove you from our vaccine schedule. However, we are unable to trade your spot for another and the schedule opening will be provided to the next individual on our wait list. If you would like to register for our wait list, please visit our website at smfm.net. Due to an extremely high number of inquiries, no vaccine inquiry will be added to the waitlist by phone in order for our staff to continue to provide routine care to our patients. Once you have registered you will be notified by text message when we are ready to schedule you to receive the vaccine. We are following guidelines for administration outlined by the CDC and prioritized by the State of Texas to individuals in tier 1A, 1B and 1C, including healthcare workers, patients over 65 or patients with high-risk health conditions and qualified educators. We are required to adhere strictly to these guidelines. Please understand, vaccinations will be administered based on risk priority and we cannot guarantee availability given the current supply and demand. In addition, we are currently unable to provide manufacturer information as allocations may vary based on availability. However, rest assured we are doing everything possible to provide the vaccine to our community in a timely manner and as our staffing is able. We will update this message as well as our website as needed.
