Biography

Dr. Rico was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico and received her Bachelor's Degree at the University Of Puerto Rico in San Juan. She received her medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. She completed her internship and pediatric residency at the University Pediatrics Hospital in San Juan.

Dr. Rico joined Savannah Pediatrics in 1994. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a member of the American Medical Association, the Medical Association of Georgia, the Georgia Medical Society and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Rico is also fluent in Spanish.

Dr. Rico serves as District Representative for the Georgia Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics and EverybodyCounts Immunization Coalition. She is an EPIC trainer for immunizations for the Georgia Chapter of the American Association of Pediatrics.
