Personal Interests

Dr. Berger enjoys spending time with his wife, 3 kids, dog and cat. He is a huge sports fan and roots for the Nationals, Wizards, Georgetown Hoyas and N.Y. Jets. He plays basketball, tennis, and softball and makes sure he gets his minimum 10,000 Fitbit steps every day. His hobby is collecting old baseball cards.

Biography

Dr. Berger received his BS from Tufts University in 1983. He received his MD degree from SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn in 1987. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Drexel University College of Medicine in 1990 and did his Pulmonary critical care fellowship at Georgetown University Hospital from 1990 to 1993. Dr. Berger has been a member of Rockville Internal Medicine Group since 1993. He enjoys teaching medical students and has been a clinical instructor at George Washington University School of medicine from 2005 to 2013 and has been a clinical instructor at Georgetown University School of Medicine from 2013 to present. He has been named a Washingtonian Top Doctor in every issue since 2005 and has been listed as a Top Doctor in the Washington Consumers Checkbook 2007 to present.
