2024 COVID-Vaccine Information (*not available at RIMG*) :

The 2024–2025 formulation for Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines has been updated to a monovalent vaccine based on the Omicron JN.1-lineage of SARS-CoV-2, KP.2. Vaccination is especially important for people at highest risk of severe COVID-19, including those 65 years and older, people with underlying medical conditions, those in long-term care facilities, and pregnant individuals.

If you’ve had a recent COVID infection, the CDC states you may wait at least 3 months to receive a COVID booster.

All ages are eligible for an updated COVID-19 vaccine if its been at least 4 months since last vaccination, but it is especially important for those over 65 or immunocompromised.

*Immunocompromised individuals may receive a booster more often as soon as 2 months since last vaccination*

2024 Flu Vaccine Information:

The single best way to prevent seasonal flu is to get the flu vaccine each year.

In addition, you can practice healthy habits by avoiding close contact with people who are sick, staying at home when you are sick, covering your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing and washing your hands often.

We are offering the Fluzone High Dose Quadrivalent vaccine for 65 and older, the Flublok vaccine  for ages 50-64 and the Fluzone vaccine for those under 50.  All of our flu vaccines are preservative free and safe for those with an egg allergy.

RSV Vaccine Information (*not available at RIMG*) :

The CDC recommends that everyone age 75 and older receive the RSV vaccine. People ages 60–74 who are at increased risk of severe RSV should receive the vaccine. This includes those with:

Certain chronic medical conditions (e.g., lung disease, heart disease, diabetes with end-organ damage)

Those living in nursing homes

The CDC recommends the Pfizer RSV vaccine (Abrysvo) for pregnant women during 32 through 36 weeks gestation to provide protection for newborns from birth to 6 months of age.

The RSV vaccine is not currently an annual vaccine for adults. If you’ve already received an RSV vaccine, you don’t need to get another one at this time.
