Biography

Johanna D’Addario is a physician assistant with experience in hospital medicine, internal medicine, and patient safety. A 2008 graduate of the Quinnipiac University Physician Assistant Program, she worked at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, NY from 2009 to 2011. Her roles included patient care in hospital medicine, and later as Patient Safety Manager for the Montefiore Medical Center system of hospitals and ambulatory care centers.

In 2011, she returned to Quinnipiac University in Connecticut as a clinical assistant professor and coordinator of the Entry-Level Master’s Physician Assistant Program. She teaches at the graduate and undergraduate levels, including both lecture courses and small group sessions focused on patient interviewing, physical diagnosis, clinical problem-solving, and patient safety.

She currently serves as Secretary for the Connecticut Academy of Physician Assistants, a board member of the Connecticut Physician Assistant Foundation, and a Medical Advisory Board member for the National Kidney Foundation serving Connecticut and Western Massachusetts. In 2015, she was named a Fellow of the National Kidney Foundation.
