Dr. Anlage and her husband, Steve, a Physics professor at the University of Maryland, reside in Laurel. They have two grown children. Daughter April is a graduate student in Mechanical Engineering at MIT, son Troy is a resident in Internal Medicine at Dr. Anlage’s beloved alma mater, University of Rochester. In her spare time, Dr. Anlage is an avid Genealogist and a volunteer Search Angel. She also loves to cook.
Biography
Dr. Valorie Anlage grew up in Salem, Oregon. She graduated with Departmental Honors and Distinction from Stanford University, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Biology and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
Dr. Anlage received her medical degree and completed her pediatric residency at the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY. After her residency, she practiced for two years in Vancouver, Washington, before moving back east and joining this group in 1991. Dr. Anlage is board certified in Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
