Important Update on Telehealth Flexibilities for Medicare Beneficiaries

Congress has passed a temporary extension of telehealth flexibilities for Traditional Medicare beneficiaries through Monday, March 31, 2025. This means you can continue to access telemedicine/virtual visits, just as you have over the past several years, with coverage and reimbursement intact.

What Does This Mean for You?

  • Access to Telehealth Continues: You can still schedule virtual visits with our providers, ensuring uninterrupted care from the comfort of your home.
  • Coverage for Traditional Medicare: Medicare will continue to reimburse telehealth visits during this period.

Our practice, PMA Health, remains committed to ensuring that telehealth remains a permanent option for all patients. One of our own physicians, Ashtaad Dalal, MD, has been actively advocating for telehealth, including authoring and publishing an article on this critical issue on behalf of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). You can read the published position statement here.

What’s Next?

  • Advocacy efforts are ongoing to make telehealth a permanent part of healthcare for Medicare beneficiaries.
  • We will provide updates as Congress continues negotiations, with the next update expected in March 2025.

How Can You Help?

Your voice matters! Consider advocating for telehealth by sending a letter to your local congressperson. We encourage you to take action and locate your representative and senator here (https://www.congress.gov/members/find-your-member) and send completed letters directly to the address provided.

Advocacy at the local level is powerful, and together, we can work to ensure the long-term availability of telehealth services.

Thank you for trusting PMA Health to support your care, both in-person and virtually.
