Biography

Alba Cogliandolo, DNP, FNP-C, is a graduate of the University of Maryland’s nursing program. She received her Bachelor of Science in nursing in 2010, then went on to earn a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree. After achieving her optimal goal of becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Alba now hopes to fulfill her wish to give back to her Hispanic/Latino community as a bilingual clinician providing quality healthcare to all.

Alba, who was born in El Salvador, came to the United States with her family when she was three years old. The family settled in Montgomery County, Maryland where she spent her formative years. She still resides in Montgomery County with her husband and family.

Alba’s style of care aligns with Healthy Steps’ focus on individualized, holistic care with an emphasis on preventative medicine for healthier living.
