Biography

Kathleen “Katie” Brown received her first undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina in 2004 with a B.S. in Biology, graduating Cum Laude. She pursued her second B.S. in Nursing at the Medical University of South Carolina and graduated Cum Laude in 2006. After working as a nurse in the Level III Neonatal ICU at MUSC for six years, she graduated with First Honors from the Medical University of South Carolina with her M.S. in Nursing, as well as Doctorate of Nursing Practice in 2013.

Katie spent three years in the outpatient setting as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Bluffton, SC, before moving to the Savannah area. From 2016 to 2019, she served as the Program Coordinator for Pediatric Bleeding Disorders at Memorial University Medical Center. She has certifications in both Basic Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. She also holds an active advanced nursing practice license through the state of Georgia and South Carolina.
