Dr. Maska has been practicing neurology in the Bay area since 2006. After earning an M.D. from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, she completed her internship and neurology residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. She extended her training even further by completing a neurophysiology fellowship at the University of Maryland Medical Center. Prior to that, Dr. Maska received a B.S. in physics from the University of Dallas and an M.S. in physics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

In addition to treating patients, Dr Maska is a leader in the field of neurology. Since 2012, Dr. Maska has been on the board of directors of the San Francisco Neurological Society, where she is also a past president. She is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology. Dr. Maska enjoys teaching medical students and has been an Assistant Clinical Professor at the California Northstate University College of Medicine since 2018.

Dr. Maska’s approach to patient care begins with understanding the patient’s medical needs. By diagnosing conditions and partnering with patients in making medical decisions, she ensures that her patients are active participants in the care that they receive. She provides a compassionate framework to improve patients’ conditions, and aims to improve the quality of life of each patient. In her spare time she enjoys being with her family, cooking, singing, and playing the ukulele.
