Personal Interests

Dr. Flynn and her husband have two children. When not working, Dr. Flynn enjoys reading, gardening, being outdoors and cheering loudly for her children at their basketball and soccer games and Irish dance performances. Dr. Flynn's newest interest is yoga. The Flynn family's favorite escape is Cape May, NJ where you will find them on the beach.

Biography

Elizabeth Dougherty Flynn, MD, FAAP joined Manassas Pediatrics in July 1997 after completing her pediatric residency at Children's National Medical Center. She is originally from the Philadelphia area and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Scranton, and her medical degree from Drexel University (Hahnemann University) School of Medicine in Philadelphia.

Dr. Flynn has served as Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at Prince William Hospital as well as on the Peer Review Committee. She currently serves on the Pediatric Advisory Counsel for Novant Medical Center. Dr. Flynn has been recognized by Washingtonian magazine as one of the region's "Top Doctors" in the practice of pediatrics in each of the publication's last five issues dedicated to the topic, most recently in March 2014.
