Occupation

INTERNAL MEDICINE

“We accept patients 18 and older for almost all medical problems, but we specialize in drug addiction, nutrition advice, and smoking cessation. I realize it sounds “hokey” but our mission is to treat each patient as if they are a family member–with respect, dignity, and empathy. We only prescribe the medications, order the tests and refer to those chosen specialists that we would allow our own family members to take, do or visit. If it’s not good enough for our family, it’s not good enough for yours!”

Biography

Dr. Spector was Board Certified in Internal Medicine in 1999 and specializes in the care of patients 18 and older who require preventative, acute and chronic medical care.

He believes that health and wellness is a collaborative effort between doctor and patient, maximized through prevention, healthy lifestyle choices and treatment of disease. For each patient he sees, his goal is to give them tools they need to enjoy all that life has to offer.

One of Dr. Spector’s passions is the empathetic treatment of those patients who suffer from the disease of addiction. He is the Medical Director at the Serenity Clinic, an outpatient treatment center in Aberdeen and he served as the Medical Director of Addiction Services at the Harford County Health Department from 2007-2010.

Born and raised in Baltimore, Dr. Spector did his Residency at Franklin Square Hospital Center and served as Chief Resident in 1998-1999. He was also awarded the prestigious Outpatient Physician of the Year in 1998. He has been in private practice in Harford County since 1999 and never stops striving to be the physician you would be proud to refer your friends and family too.
