Biography

Prior to working in medicine, Dr. Garrett worked in a financial consulting firm, and then later in a major Hartford insurance company in their corporate finance department. Currently, when not working at HIMA, he can be found at home in the woods far from the paved road. He lives off-grid in the Quiet Corner of Connecticut with his wife, Dr. Marjorie Garrett, as empty-nesters with 3 adult children. They strive to provide for much of their needs from the land on their hobby farm, including meat from the forest, vegetables from the garden, fruit from the the orchard trees, and heat from forest trees. In his spare time, he writes novels (only one is currently available: Amodom Holt – No Shield of Defense).
