About Us

Dr. Joshua Garrett opened Garrett Family Medicine in 2014, after practicing at HMC Family Medicine for more than six years.

In 2025, Dr. Garrett welcomed Nurse Practitioner Tracy Ferguson to his practice. Tracy shares the same passion of caring for the health of patients at all stages and ages of life.

Our Staff

Regina Carter (Office Manager)

Regina Carter is a native of Habersham County and has more than 15 years in management and medical office facilitation. Having worked with Dr. Garrett since 2007, Regina brings a level of caring and personal touch to her job that our patients have truly appreciated for years. Regina handles most appointment scheduling and referrals.

Ashley Johnstone (Certified Medical Assistant)

Ashley Johnstone joined the Garrett Family Medicine team in 2020. As a certified medical assistant, Ashley assists in the direct care of patients as well as assisting with front office duties. Ashley brings a stellar level of service to her work and is a valuable member of the healthcare team at Garrett Family Medicine.

Jennifer Marzilli (Certified Medical Assistant)

Jennifer Marzilli joined Garrett Family Medicine in 2024. Prior to partnering with the primary care team at GFM, Jennifer worked in a general surgery practice. Her heart is to care for each one of our patients as if they were a member of her own family.

Lakeyda Maney (Certified Medical Assistant)

Lakeyda Maney joined our staff in 2025. She loves getting to know patients and meeting their needs in a caring and compassionate way.

Lexus Dover (Administrative Assistant)

Lexus Dover has been a member of the Garrett Family Medicine staff since 2021. With previous experience in a busy dermatology practice, Lexus adds additional exemplary care and expertise to our team. Lexus works off site supporting our CMAs in many administrative duties.

Tiffany Stover (Certified Phlebotomist)

Tiffany Stover is a certified phlebotomist and takes great care in the drawing of blood for all patients at Garrett Family Medicine. While she is officially employed by LabCorp, Tiffany makes the blood draw experience for our patients as pleasant as possible.

Laura Garrett (Practice Administrator)

Laura Garrett holds a Bachelors of Arts in Journalism – Public Relations. After a four-year career in healthcare and higher education communications and marketing, Laura spent six years as a full-time mother. In 2014, she began her position as Practice Administrator for Garrett Family Medicine. Laura handles credentialing, hiring and assists our front office staff.

Brenda Greene (Billing Supervisor)

Brenda Greene brings many years of experience in medical billing and coding to Garrett Family Medicine. With Garrett Family Medicine since 2014, Brenda handles invoicing, insurance claim submission and most billing-related inquiries. Though Brenda works off-site, our day-to-day front office staff is happy to help assist in getting any billing issues resolved.
