Biography

Dr. Sodhi is a compassionate, respectful primary care physician and sports medicine specialist, with a strong work ethic. Dr. Sodhi received his medical degree from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, India, and did his residency in Family Medicine at SUNY University at Buffalo NY after which he completed his fellowship in Sports Medicine from SUNY University at Buffalo, NY. He has been practicing for over 12 years within the Primary care and Sports medicine world. He has spent the last 8 years of his career in Frederick, MD, connecting and building a bond with the community and has come to call Frederick his second home. Dr. Sodhi has expertise in treating chronic conditions like hypertension, heart disease, COPD, Asthma, Diabetes, obesity/overweight, and arthritis, among many other conditions. 

He is skilled in treating adults as well as children. 

Dr. Sodhi is also a trained Sports Medicine specialist, concentrating on musculoskeletal injuries and using his knowledge to restore injured joints and improve overall functionality. Dr. Sodhi is a former head Team physician for Mount St. Mary’s University (MSMU) and promoted the health and safety of the university’s Division I student-athletes with his team. He worked hand-in-hand with the Mount’s highly skilled athletic training staff to provide care to Mountaineer athletes before, during, and after their sporting events and practices. He specializes in non-operative management of joint conditions like osteoarthritis, joint pains, and concussion.
