Biography

I began my medical career working as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant at 16 years old. I graduated from Wheeler High School in Marietta while working at Windy Hill Hospital. While waiting to attend nursing school, I took basic EMT training. In 1988, I graduated from Valdosta State University with a BSN. I worked as a RN at Tift General Hospital for 3 years in Labor and Delivery and NICU. After that, I worked at the Tift County Health Department with emphasis on Health and Wellness, Women, and Children’s Health for 10 years. I decided to return to college and graduated from Albany State University in 2004 with a Masters in Nursing and Family Practice. I was an instructor at ABAC nursing program as a nurse practitioner. I then pursued my career as a nurse practitioner with Tifton Woman’s Center for 10 years. I came to work with Family Practice Associates in 2016. I have greatly enjoyed working with Dr. Johnson for the past 3 years taking care of our patients. I have been married to my wonderful husband John for 35 years and we have two children and six grandchildren.
