Biography

Dr. MaKenzie Hodge was born and raised in Longview, TX, graduating Longview High School in 2007 as valedictorian. From there, she attended Baylor University, graduating in 2011 with a biology major and dual chemistry and history minor. She later attended the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX where she graduated in 2015 as a Rural Health Scholar. Dr. Hodge then returned to her hometown for internal medicine residency at Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center. She finished her medical training at Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC, where she completed her endocrine fellowship. Along the way, she also obtained a Masters in Public Health from the University of North Texas Health Science Center.

Dr. Hodge's hobbies include reading, cooking, going to church and spending time with friends. She also enjoys spending time with her family, including her parents, siblings, niece and nephew.
