Biography

Dr. Whitney Mascorro is originally from Ozona, TX. She graduated from Texas A&M University and then earned her medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, where she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She completed her residency at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, where she won the prestigious Medicus Award “for outstanding clinical care, knowledge, teaching and dedication to compassion and professionalism.” During her time there, she also received the Excellence in Laparoscopy Award.

As a woman, wife and mother, Dr. Mascorro has an appreciation for the specific needs of her patients. She cares for women from teenage to senior years in both the surgical and medical realms. Because Dr Mascorro has seen patients struggle to navigate excess information and discern biased versus unbiased information available to them, she is focusing on education. It’s understandably really challenging to navigate. Therefore, she is committed to help provide sound medical advice and education to her patients utilizing sound scientific data, her own medical experiences and wisdom, and even her own personal journey from menarche to menopause.

Dr. Mascorro has been married to her husband, Brandon, for over 25 years. They have 4 children- Mac, Cooper, Reese, and Drew. She is active in her church and enjoys exercising, shopping, and cheering on her kids at their sports activities. Gig em!
