Biography

Dr. Sithu Win obtained a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Myanmar, MRCP (Membership of Royal College of Physicians) and DCH (Diploma in Child Health) from the United Kingdom. Dr. Win has extensive experience and training as a pediatrician. He worked in the United Kingdom for nine years as a pediatrician, five of which he spent working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Homerton University Hospital and University College of London Hospital in London, England. After working abroad for a number of years, Dr. Win moved to the United States, where he completed his pediatric residency in 2010 at Brooklyn Hospital Center in New York. Dr. Win served as Chief Resident from 2009 to 2010, during which time he was responsible for much of the teaching of the pediatric residents in the program. Prior to joining our practice, he received several well-recognized accolades honoring his expertise in the field of pediatrics. In each of his three years of residency, he was awarded Resident of the Year Awards (2008, 2009, and 2010), as well as Chief Resident of the Year in 2010. In 2010, he also received the Uchenna "Uche" Onuegba Award for the Model of Courtesy, Respect, and Professionalism.

Dr. Win is Board Certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. In addition, he is a member of the Royal College of Physicians in the United Kingdom. Dr. Win has a special interest in newborn nutrition and breastfeeding.
