Biography

‘Joan’ Qiong Wang is a highly experienced board-certified family nurse practitioner since 2017 with various clinical settings in primary care, underserved population, and HIV/AIDS patients. Joan received her nursing diploma in 1997 from Hangzhou Normal University in Hangzhou, China. After graduation, she traveled to the Philippines to complete her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the Adventist University of the Philippines in 2002. Following her bachelor's degree, she pursued her Master’s of Public Health with a central focus on Health Promotion at the Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies, Master’s of Science in Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) at Loma Linda University, as well as her Post-Master’s Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Certification through George Washington University.

She has over twenty years of clinical nursing experience, working with diverse patients, from cardiovascular patients to those in intensive care units. Joan seeks to bring compassion into every interaction with each patient. She has also contributed significantly to nursing education, serving as a Faculty Member and Course Coordinator at Washington Adventist University's Nursing Program, where she guided and mentored future nursing professionals.

Through continuing education, Joan strives to learn at every opportunity to better the lives of her patients. She focuses especially on preventive health and evidence-based medicine. Joan is truly dedicated to her patients’ overall health and works hard to ensure they maintain excellent wellness across their lifespan.
