Biography

Dr. Susan Leggett-Johnson is a distinguished Internal Medicine physician with over 30 years of expertise in adult patient care. She is proficient in managing common medical conditions such as hypertension and diabetes and has a specialized interest in treating patients with mild to moderate anxiety, depression, insomnia and ADHD.

With an extensive background in healthcare leadership, Dr. Leggett-Johnson has held roles in operational leadership, utilization management, HR, compliance, and professional development. She previously served as Associate Medical Director for a large healthcare organization, where she led initiatives in Diversity and Inclusion, Physician Wellness, and the development of an Internal Medicine Residency program.

Dr. Leggett-Johnson currently serves on the Board of Directors for CCI Health and Wellness and the Advisory Board for the August A. White III Institute for Healthcare Equity. She also mentors clinicians through The Maven Project, supporting practitioners in Federally Qualified Health Centers nationwide.

She earned her medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine and completed her residency at Howard University Hospital. She also holds an MBA from the Sellinger School of Business at Loyola University Maryland.

In addition to her professional achievements, Dr. Leggett-Johnson is a dedicated mother of three young adults and actively volunteers in the healthcare community.
