Biography

Dr. Samar Benhusen Merriman joined our practice after relocating from Baltimore, MD.

A native of Washington, DC she received her medical degree from St. George’s University. Dr. Merriman completed her residency training in Ob/Gyn at Medstar Franklin Square Center in Baltimore, MD. While in residency, she trained extensively in all aspects of obstetrics and gynecology.

She earned multiple awards in residency, The Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine Resident Award for Excellence in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Excellence in Teaching for University of Maryland Students, Wm. Scott Taylor MD Award for Professionalism, Resident of the Year Award for Excellence in Surgical Skills and Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology.

She enjoys treating patients of all ages and has a special interest in high risk obstetric patients.
