Dr. South most enjoys time with her family which includes Dr. Eric South (St. Joseph Family Medicine) and 3 daughters. Dr. South enjoys running, camping, cats, and loves the Dallas Cowboys and Tex-Mex food.

Biography

Dr. South grew up not far from Bryan-College Station in Montgomery County. She earned her undergraduate degree from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, graduating in 2004. Dr. South then moved to Fort Worth where she attended graduate and medical school at The University of North Texas Health Science Center, graduating in 2009 with a Master of Science degree and degree in Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. South continued her training in Dallas at Methodist Dallas Medical Center where she was chief resident in 2012-2013, was awarded multiple awards for research presentations, published two papers, including one relating to cervical cancer and the young female, and was chosen as Southwest Gynecologic Assembly’s outstanding resident physician for 2012. Her professional memberships include the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.
