Biography

Dr. Dawson is a 1989 graduate of Texas A&M who returned to the Brazos Valley to practice. He met his wife, Dr. Cynthia Jansky, while at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. They went on to do their residencies in Dr. Dawson’s hometown at UT Southwestern Medical School and Parkland Hospital in Dallas, before moving to the Brazos Valley and joining Dr. Doss and Dr. Acker in 1997. They are the proud parents of two sons, Samuel and Eli. Dr. Dawson participates in the clinical training of medical students at Texas A&M Health Science Center and is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Texas A&M Health Science Center. Dr. Dawson has served as the President of the Bryan/College Station Chapter of the March of Dimes and as the President of The Prenatal Clinic Board of Directors. He attended Leadership Brazos in 1998. He has also served as the Chairman of the Department of Ob/Gyn at St Joseph’s Hospital in Bryan, and will begin serving a term on the Governance Council for St Joseph’s Hospital in 2008. He is an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener, and avowed gadget guru. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and a Member of the Texas Medical Association and the Brazos-Robertson County Medical Society. His special interests include infertility, advanced laparoscopic and robotic pelvic surgery, along with minimally invasive in office procedures and general Ob/Gyn.
